We start with the definition of a base class and a child class. The Override qualifier signals a change in functionality of a parent class.
If called with a class, ClassFieldSlot only locates a static field.
The slot is relative exactly to the class given. No superclasses are scanned. This can be checked by extracting the corresponding parts from the class' definition. An object field is found through an object reference. An object cannot replace a class.
